GENERAL YING
Sparrow is one of the countless numbers of “genetic aberrations,” children born with severe mutations caused by decades of unabated pollution. Unlike most of these children, Sparrow grew up in a loving home. But when word spread of her unique abilities, she was conscripted by the military for a top secret program.
Sparrow’s natural ability of flight, along with years of training in advanced weapons and hand to hand combat, make her a deadly adversary. Her mission is to hunt down and eliminate the Dissident leadership.
A life-long member of China’s military elite, General Ying is able to trace his ancestry back to the great Mongolian conquerors. After the conflicts of the late 21st century, Ying led the effort to revitalize the military. His landmark achievement was the creation of the Black Lotus program, a technological leap forward in military might. Ying’s ambition has landed him the title of Supreme Military Commander, but his dislike of political games has put him in conflict with other high ranking party members.
In the early 22nd century, China’s authoritarian rulers face a new threat to their grip on power. For decades, a fractured Dissident movement has been growing, despite harsh government crackdowns. After the emergence of a mysterious leader called the White Hand, the armed wing of the Dissidents has begun to score small victories against the superior government forces, bringing hope to hundreds of millions of oppressed and disaffected citizens.
